Summary of Works

Full access scaffolding and temporary roof installation.
Complete tower roof replacement, including structural timber repairs, new lead roof and access hatch.
Extensive stone replacement and conservation, including copings, cornices and carved grotesques.
Full lime mortar repointing to the tower parapet.
Reinstatement and extension of the lightning conductor system.
Rebuilding of the nave corner in Ragstone with Helibar reinforcement.
Replacement of Bath Stone copings to the nave parapet.
Replacement of cast iron hoppers and downpipes.
New leadwork to rainwater hoppers.

Overall Description of Works

This logistically challenging project involved full access scaffolding and a temporary roof, complete tower roof replacement with structural timber repairs, new leadwork and an access hatch. Works also included extensive stone conservation and replacement, including stone cornices and highly detailed carved grotesques, lime mortar repointing, lightning conductor upgrades, Ragstone rebuilding with Helibar reinforcement, replacement Bath Stone copings, and new cast-iron rainwater goods and leadwork. The completed project received amazing feedback from both the design team and the client.
