Overall Description of Works
As part of a large structural and refurbishment project, the works included masonry cleaning using a combination of nebulous water cleaning and the DOFF system, extensive structural repair works to stabilise and support the building fabric, and complex replacement of stone plinths at the bases of the pilasters, including the design and installation of temporary works.
The project also comprised stone restoration and repointing using appropriate conservation methods, together with the design, supply and installation of natural stone indents and replacement elements to ashlar masonry, copings, string courses, the grand cornice and decorative scrolls.
