Shoreditch Park Primary School, London

This was a complex project undertaken within a busy, operational school environment, presenting significant logistical and safety challenges that required careful planning and coordination to minimise disruption to staff and pupils. The works comprise the design, supply and installation of scaffolding to the Main Building, Art Block and ARP Block, together with a full inspection of all work areas and the preparation of a detailed condition survey. Masonry repairs will include stone and brick replacement and repointing, alongside structural masonry works, and the careful conservation and restoration of the highly decorative gable tympanum using appropriate lime-based mortars. Roofing works include the reroofing of the north and south roof slopes in natural slate, incorporating necessary timber repairs and replacements, as well as the complete removal of the existing roof and roof structure to the Art Block and the design, supply and installation of a new roof structure with natural slate covering and lead back gutter. The project also includes the manufacture, supply and installation of new hardwood windows, timber and glazing repairs to existing doors and windows, the overhaul of rainwater goods, the installation of new leadwork to the stone cornice and stringcourse, and the decoration of all existing timber and metalwork.
